Step into the production workshop of Kunshan Yingliyue Electronics, and you’ll witness a remarkable scene: inside a high-vacuum chamber, an invisible “magic” is quietly unfolding. Ordinary metal, plastic, or ceramic components, through a series of physical transformations, “grow” a uniform, dense, a
We provide professional one-stop surface treatment services including PVD vacuum coating, sandblasting, precision polishing, and laser engraving. We focus on metal and plastic parts such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and engineering plastics, widely used in 3C electronics, automotive inter
Core Answer: Clarifies that PVD coating can simultaneously meet environmental compliance and performance standards. Environmental Advantages: Briefly describe the core environmental characteristics of the PVD process. Performance: Summarize the key performance standards required for mobile phone components. Customer Assurance: Supplementary certification and service support.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) are two major thin-film coating technologies. PVD vaporizes materials through physical means (e.g., heating or sputtering), resulting in strong adhesion but slower deposition rates. CVD forms coatings via chemical reactions, off
As a new polishing process, plasma polishing is a trend in stainless steel polishing. If we can make good use of plasma polishing will save us a lot of time and costs.

At Kunshan Yingliyue Electronics Co., Ltd., we receive daily inquiries from customers in industries such as mobile phones, wearables, automotive, and medical devices. As a company dedicated to providing onestop surface treatment solutions, we’ve noticed that both new and existing customers often ask the same “frequently asked questions.”
Today, as a PVD engineer, I’d like to answer some of the most common questions to help you better understand our technology and services.
This is one of the biggest concerns for customers.
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a technology that deposits metal or ceramic materials as ions onto a workpiece surface in a vacuum environment. One of its key features is the extremely strong adhesion between the coating and the substrate – far superior to traditional painting or electroplating.
In our realworld tests – for example, on products supplied to brands like Apple, Beats, and Huawei – the coatings remain stable and intact after friction, salt spray, artificial sweat, and many other tests. As long as the substrate is properly prepared and process parameters are correctly matched, the wear resistance and antidiscoloration performance of PVD coatings are unmatched by conventional methods.
PVD offers excellent color control. We can produce a wide range of metallic colors, including gold, rose gold, black, dark grey, blue, coffee, silver, zirconium, and titanium.
As for mirror finishes, that depends on the upstream polishing process. We have 40 flat lapping/polishing machines and years of polishing experience, enabling us to achieve various surface textures such as highgloss mirror, matte, and brushed finishes. For example, the PVD treatment we did for Apple’s side buttons and the Xiaotiancai Z9 watch case are typical examples of highbrightness mirror finishes.
The substrates we have processed include:
Stainless steel, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys
Copper, zinc alloys, and more
Of course, PVD requires a clean substrate surface – free of oil, oxides, and contaminants. That’s why we have invested in complete upstream processes including cleaning lines, CNC, polishing, and laser engraving – to ensure that every part enters the PVD chamber in optimal condition.
We currently operate three factories with 32 vacuum coating machines and nearly 200 employees. Our daily processing capacity is in the tens of thousands of parts. To give an example, for a “threepiece set” product for a certain brand, we deliver 3,500 complete sets per day (full process: CNC → polishing → PVD → laser engraving), with a longterm yield of over 98%.
We implement a dedicated project management system: each project is assigned a dedicated engineer who follows it from upstream to downstream, ensuring stable processes and reliable delivery.
Absolutely. We provide PVD coating services for brands including MercedesBenz, Hongqi, BMW, Lotus, Volvo, and Neta. Our automotive products include key fobs, speaker grilles, exhaust pipe trims, logos, and more.
We obtained IATF16949 (automotive quality management system) certification many years ago, and we have rigorous process control, FMEA, CPK analysis, and other capabilities. If you are an automotive customer, you can trust us with your projects.
That is exactly our core positioning.
We offer a complete endtoend process: CNC machining → polishing → cleaning → PVD coating → laser engraving → full inspection → shipping. You just give us the raw parts, and we return finished products.
Many customers initially came to us only for PVD, but later found that we are also highly professional in the upstream and downstream steps – so they entrusted us with the entire process. It saves them worry, time, and cost.
Having worked in PVD for over twenty years, I have seen too many problems: coatings peeling off, inconsistent color between batches, endless delivery delays.
These problems, in the end, are not about equipment – they are about management, experience, and responsibility.
At Kunshan Yingliyue, we have not only 32 coating machines and 40 lapping/polishing machines – we also have a team with more than ten years of experience, who know how to keep every batch stable and consistent.
If you have any further questions about PVD, please feel free to contact us. We are not afraid of questions – we are only afraid that you don’t ask.
