The most problematic parts of Xiaomi foldable phones are usually the hinges (the key foldable structure) and middle frames—they get opened and closed dozens of times a day, so they’re prone to damage over time, not to mention scratches and bumps. We specifically targeted these "troubles" with a composite PVD process that combines magnetron sputtering and multi-arc ion plating.
Whether the components are made of stainless steel or titanium alloy, the process fits perfectly. The coating is flexible enough to not affect assembly—you won’t feel any extra resistance when folding the hinge, and it won’t interfere with the phone’s signal either. It fully meets Xiaomi’s strict requirements for foldable phones.
Withstands 100,000 Folds: The custom TiZrN composite PVD coating won’t crack or peel even after 100,000 cycles—even if you open and close the phone dozens of times a day. You can use the foldable screen with peace of mind for years.

Water and Sweat Resistant: It passed a 720-hour salt spray test, so even if your hands sweat a lot in summer or you accidentally splash water on the phone, the components won’t rust. It’s much more durable for daily use.
Great-Looking and Eco-Friendly: It creates premium finishes like matte metal or deep space gray, with perfectly even color (no light or dark spots). Plus, the entire process uses vacuum-based dry coating—no heavy metal wastewater, and it meets certifications like ROHS and REACH, aligning with Xiaomi’s green supply chain standards.
We worked closely with Xiaomi’s R&D team for a long time, repeatedly optimizing pre-coating steps and process parameters for mainstream foldable models like the MIX Fold series. This ensures the coating sticks tightly to the components without affecting how smoothly the hinge opens and closes, or weakening the middle frame’s strength.
Now, we have 16 high-precision PVD machines, capable of supplying over 500,000 coated components to Xiaomi every year. The quality stays super stable during mass production—no inconsistencies. Right now, our coatings are already used in several of Xiaomi’s popular foldable models, and Xiaomi highly approves.
Before coating, components are thoroughly cleaned with automatic equipment to remove all impurities. During coating, we monitor key indicators like thickness and hardness closely the whole time. Before delivery, every component goes through fold tests, scratch tests, corrosion resistance tests, and even harmful substance checks. We provide a complete test report, which fully meets the quality standards of Xiaomi’s high-end flagship foldables.
